I wrote this while sitting on the beach in San Diego. I had forgotten how much the sea calls to me. I feel it now, making me ache. I almost wish I hadn’t come. Almost. Too many other things have happened here to wish that.

My mom’s number is the same as the White House number, except for the area code. She gets calls all the time, with people looking for the President. Considering his popularity, these calls can be fun.
